This painting and I hated each other, maybe we still do. Another Illustration of Egyptian myth. Osiris is about to discover farming and Isis is looking on at her rather odd husband hopefully. Isis is like the exciting un-virgin Mary. She uses magic, wiles and bravery to pretty much save the universe single-handedly. So far I have drawn her entirely in passive poses, ironically. Again, I stress that whilst there are heaps of Egypto-stuff out there you'd be astounded as to how few take the plunge and actually tell the real pagan story. I'm finding the balance between fine art and illustration hard. I know galleries would snort at Egyptian imagery, and know why. So... just for the record.... this is an "illustration".
