Get out your crappy blue and red specs this one's in glorious 3D ;). was really surprised to hear a friend thought I painted with thick paint, usually my paintings are mistaken for prints as I paint incredibly thinly. This painting is very thick paint with a bit of gestural collage, ironically to neaten things up. I Got the title from a Tom Waits song that kept going round my brain while I was doing it. Ironically I think I'm not alone thinking "I wish there was a bloody world underground, the one up here's a bit dull". The Celts and the Norse certainly did (fairies etc). This painting is about a meter tall, on canvas. It was done in 2018.
