The Walk2, 2019, acrylic on 40*50cm canvas I wanted the characters to be unglamorous and slightly ridiculous, and the landscape to be both bland and forbidding. It's meant to parody the idea that once one steps into nature one is immediately promoted to beautiful savage, an idea common in advertising as well as our psyches. I think I got it right, but it displeases me hugely. It will probably go to my blunders folder soon.
