float2
float2 is 60*80cm tall on wood, acrylic. I wanted to see if the 2021 me could compete with the 1992 me. Generally I think I've come on leaps and bounds but float was one of about three pieces that just worked, and they're on paper.
Float was my first decent painting larger than A2, so in I went again, in some kind of dare state. Am I actually better than I was then?
I'm also getting a bit of a complex about drawing women, and thought it would be fun to do something wildly homoerotic, but to be honest the lines between male and female in my early work are so microscopically thin, so the question of whether anybody here is male, is a fair question.
That was purposeful, I lean in the direction of thinking that what most of us percieve as archetypally male, or indeed female is as real as it is useful.
I love the picture, thankfully, and the photo doesn't do it justice.
