HerDivinity is 40cm squared on canvas. The goddess, particularly the wiccan goddess character is a strange feminist icon in my possibly naive eyes. She represents the desires and abilities of a markedly few women, and as an archetype is not particularly liberating. There are actually loads of godesses in paganism, representing many of the facets of human personality. The goddess pictured is either Wset or Ishtar, which have commonalities with the wiccan goddess, but she is pictured here fed to the teeth of her loveliness, fertility, etc. I have often suspected that a truly patriachal society would have a goddess to outshine all women, and not a god that outshone all men.
