Mary Beard acrylic on wood. Partly because it's the last of the 2020 competition, and partly also because Mary Beard is the only celebrity that I actually knew of beforehand, I thought I'd make this the one I'd go to town on. It's acrylic on wood. I chose this weird slightly witchy pose guessing perhaps wrongly that the wild sage look would appeal to her, and stuck a slightly romanesque environment behind her, hopefully making her a conjurer of history. Like all of them, I can see a thousand faults, but I suspect that either this, Akrham Khan, or Bernadine Evaristo are my favourites. This kind of makes sense to me right now.
