michaelandluna is acrylic on wood, and was done as a commision. I got this job at the beginning of February 2023, I think, and was really excited about it. My brief was a young man and his foxy wolfy dog, but in my style, and my world. Very ironic that another illustration project forced me to delay the work for a patience stretching 6 months. I've also had to do this 'in between homes', which has meant meeting the proud owner of stampa-lofi, a print workspace or studio based in the already hugely significant Ocean terminal. Significant to me. Capturing likenesses, particularly animals on a piece like this was challenging. Then dragging these likenesses into one of the more auspicious and hopeful corners of my fairly dark and gritty world, challenge again. But I like it, and so do they, so all is good.
