s

summereyes

Summereyes is acrylic oon wood and was done in 2020. When I go abstract I think that my game is to hint at sensible euclidean existence and then break it. I suspect that this hints at surrealism, which I kind of wish it didn't, as art art college surrealism was a bit of a dirty word, as was illusion. My other game was to disallow a focal point by creating several lines that may or may not either be continuous or lead out of the frame. The title is from a song by the young gods, probably pushing it right out of the art college remit, but it is quite pretty, I think. Somehow it at least hinted to me of the transience of summer.
