sustenance

sustenance is slightly shorter than A3, acrylic on canvas Painted in public (Greyscale, and then coloured at home) for The Leith Collective at St James Quarter in a funny dome tent. My given theme was sustainability and the sea. A challenge in every way. I consider the sea as a victim of humanity on so many levels, and suspect that nothing short of a Kraken, Godzilla, or a world Serpent rampage could stop us. I tried to tone my thoughts down and go abstract, but ended up with something more figurative, but no avenging mythology. I never decided which way round this one should go, so feel free to spin it about.
